As this site is an ongoing project for me, I’ll be leaving it up and running while adding links and content daily, some more than others, simply because I’m at home trying to raise a toddler into a little lady, I know, I know. I’m just doing trying to do MY part. You’re welcome, America

ALL THAT BEING SAID, Please bear with me, as I try my very best to be:
a good parent and a decent human being.

Maintain my diagnosis

I have spent the last fifteen years of my life getting “high” by using and abusing illicit drugs; taking-in countless, unhealthy indulgences. I’ve slowly fallen out of love with all of my childhood wonderment/curiosities and adolescent aspirations, lost sight of success and the goals that I never set, to begin with…

I can distinctly recall noticing a ongoing “short in the wiring;” something that I interpret as a mental-malfunction. I could quite literally close my eyes tight and see the tiny “sparks” of electrical current, spitting about the hardware… A sort of “glitch,” that I could actually visualize in my head, as a kid.

I have used visualization, and my memory of photographic imagery, & life-experience since I was small, and still very young… the place in my life where I began to feel and think differently than I had been processing thoughts… This is the exact same time that my mental health started running a muck on my emotions and behaviors and just took-over ME as a whole…

UNDERSTANDING the addiction

Here's a little science lesson:

Anything is possible with support

Neurons in the brain release dopamine, which carries signals between neurons. The body uses dopamine to create chemicals called norepinephrine and epinephrine. Dopamine plays an integral role in the reward system, a group of brain processes that control motivation, desire, and cravings. Serotonin is another neurotransmitter present, in the brain. However, more than 90% of the body’s total serotonin, resides in the gut, where it helps regulate the movement of the digestive system.
Several neurotransmitters exist within the human brain yet two of the most popular of those neurotransmitters are dopamine and serotonin ; Also known as the “happy hormones,” due to the paramount roles they play in regulating a person mood and emotion. They are also involved in several mental health conditions, including low mood and depression. Dopamine and serotonin are involved in similar bodily processes, but they operate differently. Imbalances of these chemicals can cause different medical conditions that require different treatments.

How long are you going to sit and watch people around you, find happiness?

Who you wanna be is where you and I get to be ourselves. A place where we have the opportunity to embrace our differences and learn to collaborate for a greater good. This is a place where we can help one another be BETTER! Both, as individuals and as members of the human race, among other things…
Humanity and Kindness should be a given, but honestly – VERY little still surprises me these days. You should live a good life because we don’t know what comes next or when that “next” is coming. So, lets be a united people, of substance and morale. Be proud, but still humble. Be strong but don’t build up walls. Be cautious yet, compassionate. Be diligent but flexible. Firm, but loving.

So if you are [like me] sick of the chase, sick the game, the “circle,” and of all the bunk dope…
If you’re sick of destroying your personal and/or professional relationships and alienating those contacts into full-blown estrangement…
If you genuinely want to get clean and stay that way (sober), I would be honored to help anyone who needs a “buddy” during the process [I know I do], because when I’m beginning a detox from any drug or substance, I get co-dependent like you wouldn’t believe…
Whether it’s a pen-pal, a phone call, an email or a prayer you think you need, I’m glad to lend a helping hand throughout your journey. I know first-hand how difficult, it CAN be. So if you need a friend to tell you you’re great, you’re worth it, or reaffirm that you can do it, well you’ve hit the jackpot because that’s all I wanna do. Be who you wanna be, not who others choose to see. I’m here to help; to hold not just you (me too), US accountable. I am so tired of using various substances to self-medicate. Trying so damn hard, just to acquire the substances I choose in order to get ‘high’, or “feel better,” and we’d benefit so much more if we were to begin, the epic journey towards sober-living by using our undiscovered or forgotten talents, skills, and assets.
